Biography

Prof (Dr) Sandeep Madhukar Lahange is a distinguished Professor specializing in Sharir Rachana (Human Anatomy in Ayurveda), currently serving at the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, Rajasthan. Born on November 13, 1981, he holds qualifications including BAMS, MD, PhD (Sharir Rachana), and a Diploma in Yoga. With 15 years of total service and 13 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Lahange is a prominent figure in the field of Ayurvedic education and research.

Fluent in Marathi, Hindi, English, and Sanskrit, he has made significant contributions to various domains such as Human Anatomy in Ayurveda, Marma Sharir (Vital Body Areas), Musculoskeletal System, Praman Sharir (Ayurveda Anthropometry), Ayurveda Embryology, and Kinesiology of Pranayama and Asana. His research has been recognized with prestigious awards like the C V Raman Prize 2023 and the Research Excellence Award 2023.

Dr. Sandeep has also contributed to academic and community activities, including participating in medical camps and serving on institutional committees. His work as a guide for postgraduate scholars underscores his dedication to nurturing the next generation of Ayurvedic professionals.
